What happened to conceptual category? 
I'm just guessing "surreal" is the right category...
Painting assignment #2 for my painting class.
The second painting was supposed to deal with modern things or modernity. The man is sowing a skin on himself to fit in with the environment. So it's an attempted commentary on the need to conform and to fit in, even at the expense of one's own personality.
I dunno... As I tried to paint with as little detail as possible, with "free" expression, and thus far (liable to change anytime) I'm still fairly pleased with the outcome.
Acrylics. The size is about 110x90 cm, if my estimate is anywhere close to correct. I may change the title of the piece, I'm not sure about it. Suggestions welcome
The tones in the photo are slightly off; the painting is made with light and subtle tones that are hard to capture correctly in a photograph. :/
